中國目前擁有世界上最大最快的高速鐵路網。高鐵列車的運行速度還將繼續提升，更多的城市將修建高鐵站。高鐵大大縮短了人們出行的時間。相對飛機而言，高鐵列車的突出優勢在于準時，因為基本不受天氣或交通管制的影響。高鐵極大地改變了中國人的生活方式。如今，它已經成了很多人商務旅行的首選交通工具。越來越多的人也在假日乘高鐵外出旅游。還有不少年輕人選擇在一個城市工作而在鄰近城市居住，每天乘高鐵上下班。
