Ear and Mouth

Ear and mouth (E&M) is a technology in voice over IP (VoIP) that uses a traditional telephone handset with an earphone (or earpiece) for listening to incoming audio and a microphone (or mouthpiece) for transmitting audio. Calls using an E&M interface can be made from, received from, or disconnected by a private branch exchange (PBX) as well as from a VoIP-capable computer.

The main advantage of E&M is the fact that it allows a PBX to reliably detect disconnect (hang-up) signals. This eliminates problems that can otherwise occur with locked computer ports at the terminations of calls, and thus minimizes the risk of needlessly consuming network resources.

Webcam

Any video camera whose output is available for viewing via the Internet or an intranet. Typically a webcam would be a slow-scan CCD video camera connected to a video capture card in a computer. Images from the camera are captured periodically and made available on a web page. Today ,there are thousands of webcams in operation around the world showing everything from bedrooms to traffic.

Webcasting

Webcasting implies real-time streaming transmission of encoded video (or audio) under the control of the server to multiple recipients who all receive the same content at the same time. This is in contrast to normal web browsing which is controlled from the browser by individual users and may take arbitrarily long to deliver a complete document.

耳嘴接口

耳嘴接口(E&M)是網(wǎng)絡(luò)電話(VoIP)中的一項技術(shù)，它利用傳統(tǒng)電話機上的耳機和話筒收聽和發(fā)送話音。使用耳嘴接口的電話可以從PBX以及擁有VoIP功能的計算機發(fā)出、接收或斷開。

一種攝影機，它的輸出可以在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)或者公司內(nèi)部網(wǎng)上看到。典型的情況是，一臺裝有慢速掃描CCD的攝影機，它連接到一臺計算機上的視頻捕獲卡上。攝影機上的圖像被定時捕獲下來，制作成網(wǎng)頁。今天，全世界有成百上千的網(wǎng)絡(luò)攝像機在工作，從起居室到道路交通都可能用到。

網(wǎng)絡(luò)視頻推送

網(wǎng)絡(luò)視頻推送是一種流媒體的實時傳輸方式，指在服務(wù)器的控制下，在同一時間給多個接收者發(fā)送同樣的經(jīng)過編碼的音視頻內(nèi)容，它與普通的基于Web瀏覽器的方式不同，后者的控制權(quán)在使用瀏覽器的用戶，用戶可以花很長時間來提交一個完整的文檔。
