1.Yet according to recent statistics,there are over 2 million school-agechildren who have dropped out of school in poverty-stricken areas of the countryside.

2.To begin with,poor children in backward underdeveloped areas are likely to become drop-outs either because they cannot afford the tuition or because there is not any money to set up a school at all.

3.Moreover,China is not likely to invest a huge amount of money in education to aid them since it is a developing country.

4.More importantly,only by laying greater emphasis on the significance of establishing a better funded public education system can we guarantee the realization of the hopes of all the children in China.

5.Although their incomes are still low by international standards,people all over the country do not hesitate to donate whatever they can——be it money or goods——to help their needy fellow citizens.

2.首先，或是由于無法承擔學費，或是由于根本沒有資金建立一所學校，落后和不發達地區的貧困兒童極易輟學。

3.此外，由于中國是一個發展中，不可能在教育方面投入巨資。

4.更重要的是，只有更加重視建立一個有更多資助的公共教育體系，我們才能確保實現中國所有孩子們的希望。

5. 盡管他們的收入按照國際標準還是處于低水平，但是全國人民毫不猶豫地盡他們所能捐獻——不管是錢，還是物品——去幫助那些受難的同胞們。

教育文化之中西文化

1.The purpose of the cartoonist is to show us that instead of being outdated of little value in a rapidly modernizing world,cultural blending should be encouraged maintained.

2.On the one hand,mosaic cultures are part of the universal heritage of humanity they are powerful means of bringing together diverse peoples social groups.

3.On the other hand,for China,as for any other rapidly developing country,there is a danger that age-old customs traditions may become lost in the shadows of modernization.

4.In my view,multi-cultures can be kept alive by the people with the time to do so,is extremely vital in ensuring a community’s future development prosperity.

5.As a consequence of successful commercialization efforts,unwavering government support growing interests overseas,the future of cultural blending looks brighter more secure than ever before.

4. 在我看來，如果人們能為多元文化花費時間的話，那么他就能得以保護。這對確保社會將來的繁榮和發展都至關重要。

5.由于成功的商業努力、政府堅定不移的支持和不斷增長的海外興趣，文化融合的將來會比過去任何時候更明朗、更安全。
